Barrie Helps Mission-Driven Organizations
In recent years, Barrie has devoted more of her professional time to fundraising and marketing for mission-driven organizations.
Barrie has helped clients improve their positioning, branding, direct mail and fundraising case statements. She facilitated a middle donor member engagement project for The Nature Conservancy and served as Executive Producer of the critically acclaimed documentary Gen Silent. In addition, Barrie has an excellent grant writing track record.
Barrie Cares about Social Justice
Barrie has been involved with many volunteer social and political causes. She served as Executive Director of the critically-acclaimed documentary, Gen Silent. Since 2014, she has represented AARP Massachusetts on the Governor’s Commission on LGBT Aging.

Education and Background
Barrie holds a BA, cum laude, from Brown University, an MS Ed from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from the Harvard Business School. She also also has a Certificate in Professional Fundraising from Boston University.
Prior to attending business school, Barrie worked in public health and education, where she developed an innovative curriculum that enhanced students’ critical thinking skills.
Barrie currently lives in a suburb north of Boston with her wife Helen and their two very beautiful, albeit spoiled dogs, Biscuit and Moxie.
